Rey Fernandez Jr is a Cuban-American film and videogame composer, orchestrator, and music producer.

​Rey had a great musical influence in his childhood; from an early age, he started studying violin, piano, and trumpet which gave him the basic knowledge in music, while studying primary school he also was part of Los Niños Cantores de Morelia (The Boys Choir of Morelia) from 1998 until 2005 in Mexico. later, he moved to the United States and attended the major as an Audio engineering and music production at Miami International University of Art & Desing (The Art Institutes) and while studying sound engineering he also was under the tutoring of arranger and composer Narciso Valdes, he has taking Masterclasses with Norman Ludwin, and Conrad Pope Hollywood orchestrators.

The son of acclaimed writer, composer, and producer of Grammy Award band Irakere Reynaldo G. Fernandez Pavon and violinist and orchestra musician Dulce M. Veiga, Rey started his career in music as an audio engineer, later on, his collaborations with film colleagues were vital to his career among his vast influences from classical music as well as modern contemporary music.

Rey has collaborated as a film composer in films with producers such as Miguel Miller for the films The Hastings (2018), Canonize me (2012), Time to change my mind (2012), with producer, actor, and model William J Jackson for the movie The Denied (2013) in which his music was nominated for Best Original Score on the London International Film Festival, and most recently the music score for the feature film Scooter (2019), the videogame Space Front (2019) and Day of Dragons (2019-2020) and the Feature Films Scooter and N/P.
