Toni M. Mir is a composer and music producer, nominated in 2020, for the Academy Goya Awards for La Inocencia”.
After 10 years of working in a studio dedicated to music and sound for advertising, in 2004, he founded Trafalgar 13 Music House, an independent music studio in Barcelona where he ́s composed and recorded over 2,000 titles. In 2022 Trafalgar 13 Music House is now an international Music Studio, with its second location in Santa Monica, CA.
Even though Toni always adapts his music to the narrative ́s objective, he has been able to develop an individual, artistic and personal language of his own, which has led to the success and international recognition of his works.
In 2016, El Ciudadano Ilustre was that year ́s candidate film to the Oscars from Argentina for the category of Best Foreign Film; it has also received many international awards including Best Director and Best Picture. Likewise, Toni composed the score for the feature film Crosstown-Green Card Warriors, which won Best Director in the New York City International Film Festival and the Los Angeles Latin International Film Festival.
The short film Business, was selected in the Palm Springs International Film Festival among others, and won Best Original Score at the Tenerife International Film Festival. For the score of certain films, Toni has worked with musicians all over the world such as the Budapest Art Orchestra as well as the Macedonia Symphonic Orchestra. His works had led him to become a member of the Spanish Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences and the Catalan Academy of Cinema.
